🏠 Type: Residential – Private Redesign
📅 Year: 2024

🖋 Project Brief

This project was a personal commission following a previous development completed for a father and son. They asked me to return and redesign their home, with a brief to create a space that felt warm, neutral, and easy to maintain—while still feeling personal, inviting, and far from the typical bachelor pad.

The goal was to retain existing elements where possible and layer in soft textures, natural tones, and clean lines. The space needed to be relaxed and comfortable, while also flexible enough to reflect their individual personalities through personal items and keepsakes.

Designing with both practicality and warmth in mind, the result is a home that feels lived-in but considered—welcoming to guests, but clearly shaped by the people who live there.

🔍 Key Focus Areas

  • Warm, neutral palette with tactile materials

  • Integration of existing pieces for sustainability and continuity

  • Layouts suited for both private use and easy hosting

  • Softening of masculine edges without losing a sense of character

  • Balance between functionality and lived-in comfort

💡 Outcome / Impact

The final design offers a thoughtful, calm space that supports daily life while allowing room for personality and connection. It avoids minimalism’s chill and bachelor-style excess, instead delivering a home that feels genuinely welcoming—inside and out.
